Some new users will have their first post(s) moderated by an automated system. We were recently struck by a series of explicit spammers. For the time being this moderation is done manually, we are working on a filter which will allow us to target suspicious users. Be aware that we check this queue as regularly as possible and we do receive emails when posts join the moderation queue so we usually get to them within an hour or so. Sometimes it can take longer if we're all sleeping or working.
